Uptime Systems Limited Returns Policy

This Returns Policy applies to all online purchases made through shop.gandgcontrols.co.uk. All sales are governed by Uptime Systems Ltd’s Terms and Conditions (Revision 1.3). Where anything is not covered in this policy, the Terms and Conditions take precedence.

 

1. Eligibility for Returns

Standard Components

We may accept returns of standard components (relays, contactors, lamps, etc.) where:

  • They are unused,
     

  • Returned within 14 days of delivery, and
     

  • Returned in a condition suitable for resale (original packaging not required but items must be protected).
     

All non-faulty returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee, as permitted under Section 4.4 of our Terms and Conditions.

Custom Products, Bespoke Panels and Software

The following items cannot be returned unless faulty:

  • Custom-built or made-to-order control panels
     

  • Modified or configured products
     

  • Software or digital products
     

This is in line with T&Cs (Section 4.4 – cancellations/returns only by written agreement).

 

2. Faulty or Incorrect Goods

If Goods are faulty or not as described, notify us within 14 days of delivery.

Faulty items will be handled under the Limited Warranty Schedule, which may include:

  • Repair
     

  • Replacement
     

  • Refund of the purchase price
     

No restocking fee applies to faulty or incorrect items.
Return shipping for warranty claims is the Customer’s responsibility (Warranty Schedule, item e).

 

3. Return Shipping

For all non-faulty returns:

  • Return shipping is the Customer’s responsibility.
     

  • The Customer is responsible for ensuring Goods are packaged appropriately.
     

  • Risk remains with the Customer until the Goods are received by the Supplier (T&Cs Section 7).
     

 

4. Refunds

Approved returns are issued as a credit note to the Customer’s account.

Credit notes are issued only after the Goods have been inspected and accepted by Uptime Systems Ltd.

 

5. Retention of Title

Returned Goods remain the property of Uptime Systems Ltd until inspected and accepted.
Title to Goods only passes to the Customer once paid for in full (T&Cs Section 8).

 

6. Warranty

All warranty claims follow the Limited Warranty Schedule in the Terms & Conditions, including:

  • 12-month warranty period
     

  • Coverage for manufacturing defects only
     

  • Exclusions for misuse, improper installation, or unauthorised modifications
     

For warranty claims, email supporting details and photos to sales@gandgcontrols.co.uk.

 

7. How to Request a Return

Email sales@gandgcontrols.co.uk with the following:

  • Order number
     

  • Item(s) to be returned
     

  • Reason for return (faulty, incorrect, or non-faulty return)
     

We will issue a return authorisation before any items are sent back.
