Water and wastewater · Pump maintenance contractor
End-of-life panel replaced at a school, floats included, in one visit
After years of maintaining a school's pumping station and advising that the control panel had reached the end of its serviceable life, the maintenance contractor replaced it with a G&G panel and new float switches in a single visit timed to suit the school.
- Customer
- Pump maintenance contractor

- School pumping station
- Panel
- G&G wastewater pump panel
- Also fitted
- New float switches
The challenge
Replace a worn-out pump control panel on a school site without disrupting the school.
What we supplied
A standard Basix wastewater panel, with the float switches renewed at the same time.
The result
Old panel out, new panel in and floats replaced in one visit, at a time that suited the school.
The requirement
A like-for-like replacement for a worn-out pump control panel on a school site, with the float switches renewed at the same time, fitted at a time that did not disrupt the school.
The constraints
- A working school: the changeover had to be quick and planned around the site.
- An old panel with years of maintenance history: the replacement had to be straightforward for the engineers who know the station.
- Long-term reliability, so the school's maintenance contractor is not back for the panel again.
What we built
A standard G&G wastewater pump panel: Schneider and Socomec switchgear, WAGO terminals, the stepping relay with a lifetime warranty, a wiring diagram and a test certificate in the door. Old panel out, new panel in, floats replaced.
Delivery
Supplied for the contractor's planned visit.
The outcome
Matthew Thorley, Operations Director: "Old panel out, new panel in, float switches replaced, all within a timely manner to suit the customer. A smart, reliable upgrade for long-term peace of mind."
